Configure Genetic Screening and Infection History
This page allows you to configure the Genetic Screening and Infection History section. You can copy global questions or create your own questions for exclusive use in your own practice.
Caution: Use extreme caution when editing checklists and medical history questions. You should edit field names only to fix typos or edit abbreviations. Making substantial changes to content or changing the sequence of checklist items and questions affects all patient charts that include the checklist or question.
On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click Genetic Screening and Infection History
method 1 — copy an existing question from the global list
- Display the Configure Genetic Screening and Infection History page: On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click Genetic Screening and Infection History.
- Scroll down to the list of Existing Global Genetic Screening / Infection History Questions.
- Locate the question you want to add, and then click the copy link to the left of the question. The question details appear in the fields at the top of the page.
- Edit the copied question if desired.
- Click Copy at the top of the page. The copied question is added to the Genetic Screening and Infection History section and also appears in the list of Existing Local Genetic Screening / Infection History Questions.
method 2 — create a new question
- Display the Configure Genetic Screening and infection History page: On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click Genetic Screening and Infection History.
- Question — Enter the question text.
- Click Add. The new question is added to the Genetic Screening and Infection History section and also appears in the list of Existing Local Genetic Screening / Infection History Questions.
The questions you copy or add will appear in the Genetic Screening and Infection History section that appears on the ob tab and in the encounter form. They will also appear on the printable OB Episode form.
Note: The Ob section of the encounter is episode-specific: it appears only when a patient has an open OB episode.
The Existing Local Genetic Screening / Infection History Questions list shows you the questions that currently appear in the Genetic Screening and Infection History section.
The list of global questions appears at the bottom of the page.
