Plans/Education
On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Other, click OB Plans/Education
You must have the Clinicals Admin permission to access this page.
- Display the Plans/Education page: On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Other, click OB Plans/Education.
- Discussion Item — Enter a name.
- Trimester — Select the trimester where the item will appear.
- Ordering — Enter a number to indicate the order of this item in the list.
- Click Add.
The discussion item appears in the Existing Local Plans/Education Discussion Items list.
- Display the Plans/Education page: On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Other, click OB Plans/Education.
- In the Existing Local Plans/Education Discussion Items list, click update next to the discussion item that you want to update.
Note: Updates to discussion items affect all patients who have documentation for this item in their OB episode. - Trimester — You can change the trimester for this discussion item.
- Ordering — You can change the order of this item in the list.
- Click Save.
To ensure that the name and meaning of a discussion item are not changed when that item is already documented in open OB episodes, you cannot change the name of a discussion item.
To update the name of a discussion item, you must delete the item and then re-add it. If the deleted item has already been checked off in open OB episodes, it remains checked off in those OB episodes. If the deleted item is later unchecked, it is removed from the OB episode.
- Display the Plans/Education page: On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Other, click OB Plans/Education.
- In the Existing Local Plans/Education Discussion Items list, click delete next to the discussion item that you want to delete.
Note: You can delete items from the Existing Local Plans/Education Discussion Items list only. - Click OK to confirm the deletion.
The deleted item moves to the bottom of the list and now includes an undelete link. You can use the undelete link to restore the item. - To create a new item to replace the deleted one, use the entry fields at the top of the page to enter the name, trimester, and ordering information for the discussion item, and then click Save.
- Display the Plans/Education page: On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Other, click OB Plans/Education.
- In the Existing Global Plans/Education Discussion Items list, locate the discussion item that most resembles the one that you want to create.
- Click prepare for copy next to the selected global item.
The edit fields for the item appear at the top of the page. - Discussion Item — Edit the name of the discussion item.
- Trimester — Select the trimester for this discussion item.
- Ordering — Enter the order of this item in the list.
- Click Copy.
The new discussion item appears in the Existing Local Plans/Education Discussion Items list.
