Payer Debit Type
A Payer Debit remittance record is a system-created record indicating that a payer has debited funds from your U.S. Bank account.
Payer Debit remittance records are created for athenaMailbox clients when a payer debit is executed by the bank and a negative adjustment is received via the U.S. Bank data feed. A Payer Debit record for the amount of the debit is created and tagged with identifying information for you to review.
athenahealth reviews the U.S. Bank data feed and determines whether the debit is claim related or related to practice fees.
- If the debit is deemed to be claim related, athenahealth will resolve these records for you by posting them.
- If athenahealth determines that the record is related to a practice fee or is non-athena, the company ID is unmapped so that records will no longer be created and current records will be closed. Please refer to your U.S. Bank statement for fee details.
