A prepayment plan allows the practice to collect regular payments from a patient in advance of expected services, and to reserve these funds to defer the cost of the specified services.

Benefits:

By enabling pre-payment plans, the practice will experience higher patient pay yield and faster payments.

  • Keep in mind that patients cannot contact athenahealth directly if they have troubleshooting concerns regarding the workflow. It will be the responsibility of the practice to assist them.
