Quick Reference — To create a Return to office (RTO) appointment tickler in the A/P section of the exam

  1. In the Exam stage of the patient encounter, click A/P in the navigation bar.
  2. Scroll down to the Follow Up section and click .
    Additional fields appear.
  3. When — Select a time for the follow-up appointment, or accept the default value, today/ASAP.
  4. Provider — Select the desired provider for the follow-up appointment.
  5. Appointment — Select the type of follow-up appointment.
  6. Department — Select the department for the follow-up appointment.
  7. Alarm — If you want to set a reminder alarm for scheduling the follow-up appointment, select a time frame for scheduling the appointment. If an alarm is set, a Return to Office document (RTO document) is created along with the appointment tickler.
    Note: RTO documents are created in a SUBMITTED status and assigned to no one. If the number of alarm days elapses, RTO documents are moved to FOLLOW UP status and assigned to a provider.
  8. Note — Add a scheduling note about the follow-up appointment.
  9. Click outside the area to save.
