athenaCoordinator Core is the athenahealth order transmission service for incoming referrals (receivers). This order transmission service delivers validated information to healthcare facilities, speeds the ordering process, and reduces order workflow inefficiencies. athenaCoordinator Core is available to all types of order "receivers" for example, physician practices, imaging centers, laboratories) as a separate service.
athenaOne® Authorization Management is our full-service care coordination solution that includes order transmission, patient re-registration, and insurance precertification services for Receivers. athenaCoordinator Core is available to almost any type of order receiver, but athenaOne® Authorization Management is available with athenaOne for Hospitals & Health Systems.
athenaCoordinator Core provides a simplified ordering workflow between healthcare providers and facilities (Receivers), and the athenaClinicals physicians in their community. athenaCoordinatorCore delivers critical, validated information (with patient, insurance, and order details) via fax or interface via standard HL7 protocols, and reduces workflow inefficiencies.
athenaCoordinator Core receivers are facilities that are not yet using athenaClinicals.
athenaCoordinator Core delivers critical, validated information that your facility needs to fulfill and bill for the orders you receive. Orders from providers using athenaOne are delivered via your standard fax workflow, or you can choose to build an interface with athenaClinicals using standard HL7 protocols.
When a sending physician creates an outgoing referral order using athenaClinicals, the Clinical Provider Selector tool lists your facility as an athenahealth network partner with athenaCoordinator Core services. This makes it easy for community physicians to find you within our national database.
The setup and configuration process for athenaCoordinator Core is quick and easy with no cost for implementation or ongoing support. As an order recipient, your facility pays $1 per order received. After your facility starts receiving orders, the athenaCoordinator Core service provides regular reports that detail every order sent to your facility, giving you instant visibility into ordering patterns within your community.
Across the healthcare landscape, care coordination remains inefficient due to redundancies, manual inputs, and errors. For the patients whom other providers refer to you, this may cause delays and confusion.
Our athenaCoordinator Core service addresses these systemic breakdowns by creating a seamless order workflow between your practice and physicians in your community who use athenaClinicals.
