Quick Reference — To modify order sets during the patient encounter

In the Exam stage of the patient encounter, you can preview and modify order sets in the Diagnoses & Orders cart before adding the order set to an order.

1. In the Exam stage of the patient encounter, click the Add icon next to DIAGNOSES & ORDERS.

2. Hover over the order set you want to modify and click the Preview or modify order set icon:
   
   The order set preview window opens.
3. In the order set preview window, select (or clear) the orders and diagnoses that you want to add for the patient.
   
   Note: Order sets can be configured so that specific orders and diagnoses are pre-selected by default and the remaining (unselected) orders and diagnoses are optional. For more details, see To configure order sets with optional orders and diagnoses.
4. Click Add to Orders.
