Configure GYN History
This page allows you to create GYN history questions that appear in the History section of the patient chart. If desired, you can also select from predefined questions to include them in charts.

On the Main
Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click GYN History

To copy and edit GYN history templates, you must have the Clinicals Admin: GYN History role or permission.


- Display the Configure GYN
History page: On the Main
Menu, click Settings
> Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click GYN History.
- Scroll down to Add Custom Question.
- Question — Enter the text of the question.
- Answer type — Select a format for the answer from the menu.
- Click Add. The new question appears in the Custom Questions table at the top of the page. Once added, the custom question appears in the OB/GYN History section by default.

- Display the Configure GYN
History page: On the Main
Menu, click Settings
> Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click GYN History.
- In the Custom Questions table at the top of the page, select options to the left of a question to modify, delete, or restore it.
- Update: Click Update to the right of a custom question. Scroll down to Update Custom Question and modify the question text or select a new format. Click Save.
- Delete: Click Delete to the right of a custom question; click OK to confirm the deletion. The deleted question moves to the bottom of the Custom Questions table, appears in italicized font, and no longer appears in the OB/GYN History section of patient charts.
- Undelete: Locate a deleted custom question at the bottom of the Custom Questions table — deleted questions appear in italicized font. Click Undelete to restore the deleted question. The question moves to the list of active custom questions above, is no longer italicized, and reappears in the OB/GYN History section of patient charts.

- Display the Configure GYN History page: On the Main
Menu, click Settings
> Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click GYN History.
- Scroll down to the question categories that appear beneath Add a Custom Question. Expand categories to browse predefined questions and select check boxes for each question to include.
- Click Save. Your selections will appear in the History section of patient charts.

Go to the Fields to Show: Patients column. Note that athenaOne automatically collapses specialties on the GYN History page.

Click the expand button (+) to see the full list of options.

Check the patient checkbox if you want that question to show for that particular specialty.
Notes:

Any new question is turned off by default for both the clinician and patient. Practice admins must check the clinician and patient checkboxes if they want the question to be displayed.

Any existing question is turned off by default for patients and the user needs to check the patient checkbox to display the question on the Enhanced Self Check-in side.

To display a question for patients in Enhanced Self Check-in, the question must be enabled for the clinician first. The configuration page allows you to only check the patient checkbox, but the question won't show unless the clinician checkbox is also checked.

- Display the Configure GYN History page: On the Main
Menu, click Settings
> Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click GYN History.
- Scroll down to the question categories that appear beneath Add a Custom Question. Expand categories to access the predefined questions you wish to reorder.
- Position your cursor over a question. Click and drag the question to the desired position.
- Click Save. The questions selected to display in patient charts will appear in the order you've defined.

- Display the Configure GYN History page: On the Main
Menu, click Settings
> Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click GYN History.
- Scroll down to the question categories that appear beneath Add a Custom Question. Expand categories and deselect check boxes for the questions you want to remove.
- Click
Save.
Deselected questions will no longer appear in the History section of patient charts.

In the Configure GYN History page, add custom questions or select from predefined questions to modify the content that appears in the History section of patient charts.
Caution: Use extreme caution when editing checklists and medical history questions. You should edit field names only to fix typos or edit abbreviations. Making substantial changes to content or changing the sequence of checklist items and questions affects all patient charts that include the checklist or question.
