Post-Procedure Medications

This page allows you to configure the Post-Procedure Medications encounter section.

 

On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Procedure Configuration, click Post-Procedure Medications

 

 

 

Your practice must have the Structured Procedure Documentation functionality enabled.

 

 

 

  1. Display the Post-Procedure Medications page: On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Procedure Configuration, click Post-Procedure Medications.
  2. Click Add new.
  3. Medication — Enter the first few characters of the medication to add, and then select it from the list.
  4. Type — Select the medication type from the menu: IV, MEDICATION, or ANTIBIOTIC.
  5. Click Save, or click Save and Add Another.

 

  1. Locate the Post-Procedure Medications section of the current encounter.
  2. Medication — Click in the field to display the short list of quickpicks, and select the desired medication, or enter the first few characters of the medication, and select it from the matching list.
  3. Administered — Enter the time that the medicine was administered.
  4. Verbal order by — Select the provider who ordered the medication.
  5. Read back at — Enter the time that the medicine was read back.
  6. Note — Enter in any notes that are applicable.
  7. Click Save at the bottom of the page, or click the arrow to the right of the Administered field to add another medication.

 

 

 

Before you can use the Post-Procedure Medications section, you must use the Post-Procedure Medications page to specify the medications available in the Post-Procedure Medications section.
