User Guide — Warning for Unsatisfied Measures
athenaClinicals displays reminders in the encounter workflow to help providers identify patients who are missing quality program data.
By default, athenaOne displays encounter warnings when the rendering provider is enrolled in quality program measures.
If any of the following measures are unsatisfied, a reminder prompts you to fulfill the measure at the point of care:
- Maintain an active medications list

Maintain an active allergy list
- Maintain an up-to-date problems list

Record vitals signs
- Display the Medications section of the encounter.
- If no medications are listed, confirm that the patient is not taking any medications.
- Enter any new medications or, if the patient is not taking any medications, select the No medications reported option.
- Click Save.
- Display the Allergies / Adverse Reactions section of the encounter.
- If no allergies are listed, confirm that the patient does not have any allergies.
- Enter any new allergies or, if the patient does not have any allergies, select the NKDA option.
- Click Save.
- Display the Problems section of the encounter.
- If no problems are listed, confirm that the patient does not have any current diagnoses that should appear on this list.
- Enter any new problems or, if appropriate, select the No known problems option.
- Click Save.
- Display the Configure Vitals page: On the Main Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — History/Intake, click Vitals.
- Under Fields to Show, verify that these fields are checked:
- Height
- Weight
- BMI
- Blood Pressure
- Click Save.
- Display the Vitals section of the encounter.
- Record the patient's height, weight, and blood pressure (BMI is calculated automatically).
- Click Save.
When a warning appears during the encounter, click Cancel to enter the missing information immediately. This action displays the appropriate encounter section, where you can enter the information.
Note: If you do not want to update the information, click OK to continue when the warning appears.
