Go-Live Authorization
For pre-go-live practices, this page allows authorized users to authorize go-lives for each group within their medical practice.
On the Main Menu, click Settings
>Implementation. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Implementation Communications, click Go-Live Authorization
To access this page, you must be designated as a "go-live authorization user" by athenahealth.
An authorized user is designated by athenahealth as the go-live authorization user for a given go-live group within the practice.
After athenahealth designates the go-live authorization users, those users can access this page and authorize go-lives for each go-live group within their practice.
- Display the Go-Live Authorization page: On the Main Menu, click Settings
>Implementation. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Implementation Communications, click Go-Live Authorization. - Click the view link for the go-live group that you want to authorize. A set of tabs for Go Live Group Authorization appears, with the Summary tab open. You can access each section of the Go Live Authorization using these tabs, or by using the links provided on the Summary tab.
- Click the Assessment and Training tab.
- Scroll down to the Authorized Signature on Behalf of Practice section.
- Check the checkbox in the Authorized Signature on Behalf of Practice section.
- Click Save. A message warns that you cannot remove your authorization after you save it. Click OK to authorize the go-live group, or click Cancel to reconsider.
- Repeat the process for each tab.
Your practice must complete all required electronic Go Live Authorizations two days before your go-live date:
- Assessment and Training
- Data Tables QA
- Technical Readiness
- Data Import QA (if athenahealth imported any data files for your practice)
- Emergency Go-Live (if your practice is an emergency go-live)
Interface Testing authorization is required to establish any interface; however, completing the Interface Testing authorization does not affect your go-live date.
During your athenaOne implementation period, your practice has access to a pre-live version of athenaOne. You cannot create claims in this pre-live version of athenaOne.
If your practice has not completed all the required Go Live Authorizations two days before your scheduled go-live date, athenaOne automatically postpones your go-live date by one day.
If athenaOne changes your go-live date and your practice must go live on the originally scheduled date, you must complete all required Go Live Authorizations, then contact your Project Manager to request a go-live date change.

Tabs |
|
|---|---|
| Summary tab |
Use the links under the Go Live Authorizations Sections tab to display the various tabs of the go-live authorization. Authorized practice users can use the Issues and Escalation section to record any issues, concerns, or open items regarding the practice's readiness to go live. |
| Assessment and Training tab |
This section is used to indicate that the practice is satisfied with their training and findings from the practice assessment summary. |
| Technical Readiness tab |
This section is used to collect information about the practice's connectivity, hardware, and printer configuration. To authorize, complete the fields on this tab page and click Save. |
| Data Tables QA tab |
This section is used to QA your athenaOne table configuration. Click the view link for the table that you want. Click the back button to return to the Data Tables QA tab. |
| Data Import QA tab |
This section provides instructions on how to QA the import of patient demographic, fee schedule, allowable schedule, appointment, and referring provider information. To indicate which imports were completed, click the appropriate checkboxes at the top of the section, and then click Save. You can then print this page and follow the instructions to verify the integrity of the data import. |
| Interface Testing tab |
This section provides instructions on how interfaces should be tested prior to go-live. Currently, you can approve only one Interface Testing authorization per go-live group. In the next release, you will be able to configure multiple interface authorizations per go-live group. As a short-term workaround, we recommend that the Onboarding team create one go-live group per interface or use the paper interface authorization process. |
| Emergency Go Live tab |
If your practice is an emergency go-live, you should indicate your approval of the Emergency Go Live Waiver. |
