Report Inbox
athenaOne for Hospitals & Health Systems
This page allows you to access athenaOne reports that you scheduled to run offline. You can run a report by selecting the Run Offline option on the report page. You can also access autogenerated athenaOne custom reports scheduled with you as a designated recipient.
On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Inbox. The Inbox appears in the Task Bar.
You must have the Report: Report Inbox user permission to access this page. This permission is included in several roles, including Practice Superuser, Report Reader, Clinicals, Finance - Collector, Information Technology - Collector, Management - Collector, and Management - Communicator.
- Display the Report
Inbox page: On the Main
Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Inbox. The Inbox appears in the Task Bar.
By default, the list of delivered reports appears. To see the list of scheduled reports, click Scheduled at the top of the Report Inbox. (Click Delivered to redisplay the list of delivered reports.) - Click the name of the report. The report appears in the Workspace.
Note: Weekly reports are purged one month after they are generated. Monthly reports are purged one year after they are generated. After reports are purged, the report results are permanently removed from the system and can no longer be retrieved for viewing. The report templates remain accessible from the Apply Report Template list.
At the top of the Report Inbox, you can enter text in the search bar to find specific reports. You can also use more filters.
- Display the Report Inbox page: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Inbox. The Inbox appears in the Task Bar.
- At the top of the Report Inbox, click Advanced Search.
- Report Frequency — You can filter the Report Inbox to display only recurring or non-recurring reports.
- Recurring — Use this option to show or hide recurring reports.
- Single-Run — Use this option to show or hide non-recurring reports.
- Delivery Date — To filter the list of reports by date, enter dates in the From field, the To field, or both.
- Click Apply Filters.
The reports that meet your filter criteria are listed in the Report Inbox.
Delivered reports appear in separate sections, based on the delivery date. Successfully delivered reports appear under Today, then move to Last Week, Two Weeks Ago, Three Weeks Ago, and One Month or More, depending on the time past the delivery date. You can download reports or view them as .html reports in athenaOne.
If a report has an error, the error message tells you how to get help and gives you the associated reference code. Error messages appear only for unrecoverable errors, such as undelivered reports.
You can click the CSV link (at the right of the report) to download any report for use in Excel (file format is a standard, comma-delimited ASCII .csv file). You can also click the report name to view the details in HTML.
When a report is downloaded to the desktop, the file name is the same as the name of the saved report in the Report Inbox except for any special characters, which are removed from the file name. For example, a report called "Report_Name" in the Report Inbox becomes "ReportName.csv" when it is downloaded, and a report called "!ReportName" in the Report Inbox becomes "ReportName.csv" when it is downloaded.
When you receive an error message in your Report Inbox, hover your cursor over the report name or the word ERROR located beneath it to view more information about the error. When you receive this error, the CSV link does not appear because there is no report to download.
To delete several reports at once, select the reports and click Delete.
