Collections AR Report
This page allows you to generate a report that shows outstanding collection adjustments (unrecovered adjustments). You can sort and re-sort the columns of the report if you select the XML option to run the report.
On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under FINANCIALS, click Collections Accounts Receivable
- Display the Collections AR Report page: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under FINANCIALS, click Collections Accounts Receivable.
- Provider Group — If this option appears, select a provider group and then click Continue.
- Collection Agency — Select
one or more collection agencies to report on. You can also select Show All or Hide All.
Note: You can report on deleted collection agencies, they appear at the bottom of the list of options and are marked as (deleted), for example : "Collection Agency A - (deleted)". - Primary Department — Select one
or more departments to report on patients in those departments (the primary department is shown on the patient's
Quickview
page). You can also select Show All or Hide All.
Note: If the primary department is blank on the patient's Quickview page, this filter does not work. - Usual Provider — Select one or more
providers to report on patients of those providers (the usual provider is shown on the patient's
Quickview page). You can also select Show All or Hide All.
Note: If the usual provider is blank on the patient's Quickview page, this filter does not work. - Custom Reporting Group (Provider) — Select the custom reporting groups for providers associated with the collection adjustment. You can also select Show All or Hide All.
- Custom Reporting Group (Department) — Select the custom reporting groups for departments associated with the collection adjustment. You can also select Show All or Hide All.
- Patient's Last Name Starts With — Select one or more letters to select the patients to report on. You can also select Show All or Hide All.
- Show Blocked Patients — Select one or more options from this menu to filter the report by patients with blocked patient restrictions.
- Show Patients with Restricted Records — Select one or more options from this menu to filter the report by patients with record privacy restrictions on their account.
- Show Patients with Confidential Communications — Select one or more options from this menu to filter the report by patients with confidential communications privacy restrictions on their account.
- Date of Collection Adjustment — Enter or select the start and end dates for the date range of the report, or use the menu to select a relative day (for example, Today, Yesterday, Month-to-Date). The start and end dates are automatically calculated.
- Report Format — Select a reporting format option:
- XML (Can sort and resort in Web browser).
- HTML table.
- Comma-Delimited Text (Like HTML, but will download into Excel). If you select this option, the report is saved to an Excel file.
- Click Run
Report.
Large reports can take several minutes (the Run Report button appears disabled while the report is being generated).
Collection Agency |
The agency assigned to this item. This menu is administered using the Collection Agencies page.
Note: You can report on deleted collection agencies, they appear at the bottom of the list of options and are marked as (deleted), for example : "Collection Agency A - (deleted)". |

The patient's usual provider (from the patient's Quickview page). Note: If the primary department or usual provider is blank on the patient's Quickview, this filter will not function. |

Patient's Last Name Starts With |
Select one or more options from this menu to filter the report by the first initial of the patient last name. |
Show Blocked Patients | Select one or more options from this menu to filter the report by patients with blocked patient restrictions. |
Show Patients with Restricted Records |
Select one or more options from this menu to filter the report by patients with record privacy restrictions on their account. |
Show Patients with Confidential Communications | Select one or more options from this menu to filter the report by patients with confidential communications privacy restrictions on their account. |
Date of Collection Adjustment |
The date range for which this report should be run. Enter dates or select a date range from the menu to report on collection adjustments for the selected period. Note: If your fiscal year does not align with the calendar year, you can select date ranges for the fiscal year or the calendar year, for example, Fiscal Quarter-to-Date, Previous Fiscal Year, Previous Calendar Quarter, or Calendar Year thru Previous Month. |

The name of the patient who incurred the charge. |

The agency assigned to this item. |
date of collection adjustment |
The date that the item was sent to collections via the Collections Worklist page. |
Outstanding |
The amount adjusted off to collections (shown on the patient's Quickview page). This amount is any collection adjustment minus any recovery adjustments. Recovery adjustments include recovery payments, fee adjustments, and bad debt adjustments on a charge sent to collections. |
