Charge Code Cost Import
athenaOne for Hospitals & Health Systems
You can use the Charge Code Cost Import page to update charge codes costs for athenaOne for Hospitals billing, by importing a.csv file. The charge code represents the set of attributes (strength, description, department, billing date, cost, price, revenue code, etc.) required for hospital billing.
Note: Charge codes for pharmaceuticals are administered using the Formulary Management page. Charge codes for non-pharmaceuticals are administered using the Charge Master page.
How do I get to this page?
On the Main
Menu, click Settings 
> Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Pharmacy, click Charge Code Cost Import
To update charge code costs in your formulary using a .csv file
- Prepare the .csv cost import file:
The first row must contain these case-sensitive column headers:
Charge Code
Cost
Each charge code must match a charge code in the formulary.
The cost must be in decimal format (for example, 10.23). - Display the Charge Code Cost Import page: On the Main
Menu, click Settings > Clinicals. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Pharmacy, click Charge Code Cost Import.
- Click Browse... to upload the .csv file.
- Click Submit. A message appears, indicating the number of successfully updated charge code costs, and any any invalid charge code costs.
