The Population Overview page shows metrics for your health organization. (This page is also your home page if athenahealth Population Health is your only athenahealth service.)

 

On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under POPULATION MANAGEMENT, click Population Overview.

 

This page is your home page if athenahealth Population Health is your only athenahealth service.

 

 

 

Your organization must use athenahealth Population Health to access this page.

 

 

 

 

The Population Health Inbox shows your care and quality tasks:

  • Notifications — Notifications for ADT events, athenaWell patient responses, and vital/measurement out-of-range values.
  • Patient Conversations — Unread patient messages.
  • Overdue — Overdue care and quality events and tasks.
  • Today — Today's care and quality events and tasks.
  • Upcoming — Care and quality events and tasks for the next 30 days.
  • No Future Scheduled — Your assigned patients enrolled in a care management program who do not have a care event scheduled.
  • Sign off — Quality tasks sent back to you from the person you assigned them to.
  • Requires Review — Care events that require your review.
    Note: To view the Requires Review list, you must have the Care Manager: Can Review Others' Changes permission.

You can complete tasks and open events directly from the Population Health Inbox.

 

 

 

The center pane displays the most up-to-date risk scores (alongside other metrics) for specific time periods. You can use the filters at the top of the center pane to view your most recent risk scores for specific time periods.

 

To filter by risk, click the plus icon next to Filter and select At Risk. Next, select the "at risk" level and click Apply.

 

To filter by the date for processed claims, click END DATE, select the year and month, and then click Apply. (The End Date is the date up to which you want to see processed claims.)

 

Note: The metrics you see may vary, based on your data access level.

 

 

Metrics in the Members area provide membership information for your facility or network. In particular, this area shows the total number of members and the number of members for each payer. To dig deeper into these metrics, click Browse all Member reports.

 

 

 

Metrics in the Severity area show your facility or network's Milliman risk scores. Milliman risk scores, or Milliman Advanced Risk Adjuster (MARA) scores, predict total claim cost in terms of inpatient services, outpatient services, physician and other services, and prescription drug services. To dig deeper into these metrics, click Browse all Severity reports.

 

 

 

Metrics in the Utilization area show how your facility or network's utilization (in terms of the per-member-per-month (PMPM) cost and the total number of visits) compares to your competitors' utilization. To dig deeper into these metrics, click Browse all Financial reports.

 

 

 

Report Quick Picks lists your most frequently visited reports. You can click a report in the list to go to that report, or you can click Browse the full report library to go to the Report List.

 

 

 

 

The Messages pane displays your most recent messages from athenahealth and other users in your organization. Click a message to view that message in full, or click VIEW ALL MESSAGES to view all of your messages in full.
