MIPS Reporting Activity Report

athenahealth no longer supports claims-based MIPS reporting. If you use athenaClinicals, you can enroll in a MIPS quality program by opening a support case (see MIPS Dashboard and To enroll a new provider in a pay for performance program). If you do not use athenaClinicals, athenahealth recommends that you work with your clinical vendor to optimize MIPS reporting.

The MIPS Reporting Activity report identifies the number of eligible claims reported for your activated MIPS measures.

Note: The claims data in this report are estimates based on assumptions about the MIPS program guidelines and will likely differ from the actual CMS feedback reports and payment adjustment calculations.

 

Display the Report Library: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Library. Click the Other tab. In the Standard Reports section of the tab, click run next to MIPS Reporting Activity.

 

 

 

To access reports on the Other tab of the Report Library, you must have the Report: Report Library: Other permission. This permission is included in the following roles:

  • Practice Superuser role
  • Report Reader role

Note: To activate the MIPS Reporting Activity report, use the Activate Reports page.

 

 

  1. Display the Report Library: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Library.
  2. Click the Other tab.
  3. Click run next to MIPS Reporting Activity in the Standard Reports section of the tab.
    The Run Report: MIPS Reporting Activity page appears.
  4. From date - To date — Enter the start and end dates for the report, or select a date range from the menu. Claims with a date of service within this date range are included in the report.
  5. Department — To report on MIPS performance for a specific service department, click the menu and select the department from the list.
  6. Show claims — To include a list of ineligible claims in the report, accept the default value (Yes) for this option.
  7. Report Format — Select the format for your report results.
    • HTML table — Display the report results on your screen.
    • Text (tab-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in tab-delimited format.
    • Text (comma-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in comma-delimited format.
  8. Report Options — Select report options.
    • Suppress Column Headings — Select this option to remove column headings from the report results.
    • Suppress Report Name — Select this option to remove the report name from the report results.
    • Show Filter Criteria — Select this option to include your selected filter criteria in the report results.
    • Run Offline (will appear in your Report Inbox tomorrow morning) — Select this option for very long reports. Reports that are run offline appear in your Report Inbox the morning after the request.
  9. Click Run Report.

 

Run Report: MIPS Reporting Activity
From date - To date

Enter the start and end dates for the report, or select a date range from the menu. Claims with a date of service within this date range are included in the report.

Note: If your fiscal year does not align with the calendar year, you can select date ranges for the fiscal year or the calendar year, for example, Fiscal Quarter-to-Date, Previous Fiscal Year, Previous Calendar Quarter, or Calendar Year thru Previous Month.
Department To report on MIPS performance for a specific service department, click the menu and select the department from the list.
Show claims To include a list of ineligible claims in the report, accept the default value (Yes) for this option.
Report Format

Select the format for your report results.

  • HTML table — Display the report results on your screen.
  • Text (tab-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in tab-delimited format.
  • Text (comma-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in comma-delimited format.
Report Options

Select other options for your report results.

Column Headings
PROVIDER Name and title of the supervising provider.
MEASURE MIPS measure for claim-based reporting.
ELIGIBLE CLAIMS Number of eligible claims for the MIPS measure.
REPORTED CLAIMS

Number of claims reported to CMS for the MIPS measure.
PERCENT REPORTED

Percentage of claims reported to CMS for the MIPS measure.
SATISFIED CLAIMS

Number of satisfied claims reported to CMS for the MIPS measure.
PERCENT SATISFIED

Percentage of satisfied claims reported to CMS for the MIPS measure.
REPORTING DISCREPANCIES Number of reporting discrepancies.
