Portal Access Audit History
This page allows you to view an audit history of certain Patient Portal transactions for a patient, for example, who granted or deleted access to a Patient Portal user and the date of the transaction. If you use athenaClinicals and the Patient Information Center without athenaCommunicator, this page displays the audit history of certain access-related Patient Information Center transactions for a patient.
How do I get to this page?
On the Patient Actions Bar, click Communicator, and then click Portal Access Audit History
Practices with athenaClinicals but not athenaCommunicator:
On the Patient Actions Bar, click Clinicals, and then click Portal Access Audit History
User access and permissions
Your practice must use the Patient Portal or the Patient Information Center feature, and you must have the Communicator permission to access this page.
To view the audit history of Patient Portal transactions for a patient
The Portal Access Audit History page shows you all Patient Portal users that have ever accessed the patient record, organized by Patient Portal user. This page displays an audit history of all Patient Portal transactions for that patient, for example, who granted or deleted access to a Patient Portal user and the date of the transaction.
The Portal Access Audit History page also includes the audit history for updates to the contact information of Patient Portal users:
- Relationship to patient
- First name and last name
- Mobile phone, home phone, and work phone
- Address, Zip Code, City, and State
For each update, the audit history displays the username of the practice user who made the change.
If you use athenaClinicals and the Patient Information Center without athenaCommunicator, this page displays the audit history of all Patient Information Center transactions for a patient.
To display the Portal Access Audit History page: On the Patient Actions Bar, click Communicator, and then click Portal Access Audit History.
