Add / Update Appointment Note
This page allows you to add or update a note for a patient appointment. Appointment notes are generally used to describe the patient's symptoms and the reason for visit. Appointment notes appear as bullet points on the Quickview page.
To access this page, you must have the Add Appointment Note user permission. This permission is included in the Receptionist, Administrative/Clerical Staff - Collector, and other roles.
- Display the Add
Appointment Note page: On the Quickview, under the Appointments heading - Upcoming, click Add note.
- Note — Enter the text of the appointment note.
- Click Add.
Tip: You can also enter and edit appointment notes directly in the Notes/Reason field on the Appointment and Check-in pages.

Update Appointment Note
page: On the Quickview, under the Appointments heading - Upcoming, click Edit.

- Click Update.
- Display the Update Appointment Note page: On the Quickview, under the Appointments heading - Upcoming, click Edit.
- Click Delete.
You can add a note to an appointment as follows:
- When you schedule the appointment — On the Schedule Appointment page, enter a text note in the Notes/Reason field. The note appears on appointment schedules, on the Quickview page, and when you edit the appointment.
- After you schedule an appointment — On the Quickview page, under the Appointments heading, click the Add note link for the appointment.
- At check-in time — On the Check-in page, add any notes for this appointment in the Notes/Reason field.
