Common Diagnosis Codes
This page allows you to customize your practice-specific list of commonly used diagnoses. You can add, update, and delete items from the list of diagnoses that appear as the default display when you access the Diagnosis Lookup tool from the Charge Entry page.

This page is for the ICD-9 Diagnosis Lookup tool only and is not used for ICD-10 codes. The ICD-10 search tool includes patient historical and frequently used codes. |
How do I get to this page?
On the Main
Menu, click Settings 
> Billing. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Miscellaneous, click Common
Diagnosis Codes
To add diagnosis
codes to the list of commonly used diagnosis codes
Method 1
- Display the Common
Diagnosis Codes page: On the Main
Menu, click Settings > Billing. In the left menu, under Practice Links — Miscellaneous, click Common
Diagnosis Codes.
- Common diagnosis code — Enter the diagnosis code number.
- Local description — Enter a description for the diagnosis code.
- Click Save. The diagnosis code and description appear in the list.
Method 2
- Enter a period or question mark in any diagnosis
code field on the Charge Entry
or Claim Edit page.
The Diagnosis Lookup tool appears. - Enter a keyword or a numeric code in the "by description" field.
- Click add to my diagnoses.
