Encounter Usage of Text Macros Report
The Encounter Usage of Text Macros report identifies text macros used during encounters by rendering providers. If a text macro was used in more than one section of an encounter, the report displays a separate row for each encounter and encounter section where a text macro was used.
Display the Report Library: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Library. Click the Clinicals tab. In the Standard Reports section of the tab, click run next to Encounter Usage of Text Macros.
To access reports on the Clinicals tab of the Report Library, you must have the Clinicals user permission and the Report: Report Library: Clinicals permission. The Report: Report Library: Clinicals permission is included in the following roles:
- Practice Superuser role
- Report Reader role
Note: To activate the Encounter Usage of Text Macros report, use the Activate Reports page.
- Display the Report Library: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Library.
- Click the Clinicals tab.
- Click run next to Encounter Usage of Text Macros in the Standard Reports section of the tab.
The Run Report: Encounter Usage of Text Macros page appears. - Encounter Date Range — Enter the start and end dates for the encounters included in the report, or select a date range from the menu.
- Service Department — To report on encounters for specific service departments only, click Selected and then select the service departments to include in the report.
- Rendering Provider — To report on encounters for specific rendering providers only, click Selected and then select the rendering providers to include in the report.
- Report Format — Select the format for your report results.
- HTML table — Display the report results on your screen.
- Text (tab-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in tab-delimited format.
- Text (comma-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in comma-delimited format.
- Report Options — Select report options.
- Suppress Column Headings — Select this option to remove column headings from the report results.
- Suppress Report Name — Select this option to remove the report name from the report results.
- Show Filter Criteria — Select this option to include your selected filter criteria in the report results.
- Run Offline (will appear in your Report Inbox tomorrow morning) — Select this option for very long reports. Reports that are run offline appear in your Report Inbox the morning after the request.
- Click Run Report.

Date of service for the clinical encounter. |

Patient Name | Name of the patient associated with the encounter. |
Patient Date of Birth | Patient's date of birth. |
Primary Insurance Type | Type of primary insurance for the patient. |
Primary Insurance Policy Number | Policy number for the patient's primary insurance. |
Secondary Insurance Type | Type of secondary insurance for the patient. |
Secondary Insurance Policy Number | Policy number for the patient's secondary insurance. |
Text Macro Used |
Text macro that was used during the encounter. |
Encounter Section |
Section(s) of the encounter that the text macro is allowed to be used in. If the macro is not limited to a specific section, "All" appears in this column. |
