OB Episode Report
The OB Episode report displays OB episode information recorded in the patient chart. Each report row corresponds to an OB episode.
Display the Report Library: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Library. Click the Clinicals tab. In the Standard Reports section of the tab, click run next to OB Episode report.
To access reports on the Clinicals tab of the Report Library, you must have the Clinicals user permission, Report: Custom Reports user permission and at least one of the following:
- Practice Superuser role
- Report Reader role
- Report: Report Library: Clinicals permission
Note: To activate the OB Episode report, use the Activate Reports page.
- Display the Report Library: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Library.
- Click the Clinicals tab.
- In the Standard Reports section of the tab, click run next to OB Episode Report.
The Run Report: OB Episode Report page appears. - Report filters — Select the criteria for your report. See this report's Field Reference for details.
- Report Format — Select the format for your report results. See this report's Field Reference for details.
- Report Options — Select other options for your report results. See this report's Field Reference for details.
- Click Run Report.

| Reporting Date Range |
Enter the start and end dates for the report, or select a date range from the menu. |
| Reporting Date Type |
Select an option from the menu: Last Appointment Date, Next Appointment Date, Delivery Date, or Estimated Delivery Date. The reporting date range applies to the option you select in this field; for example, you can select OB episodes with an estimated delivery date in the previous month. Note: If you select the Estimated Delivery Date option as the reporting date type, the OB Episode report includes patients only when the Final EDD field is filled in on the OB episode. OB episodes with an autocalculated Final EDD date that have not been saved do not appear in the report. The Final EDD date must be saved or manually entered for the patient to appear in the OB Episode report. |
| Include episodes with no EDD set | Select this option to include OB episodes with no estimated delivery date in the report. |
| Delivery Status | To include only OB episodes with specific delivery statuses in the report (for example, only closed episodes), click Selected and then select the statuses from the list. |
| Usual Provider | To include only OB episodes with specific usual providers in the report, click Selected and then select the providers from the list. |
| Episode Department | To include only OB episodes for specific departments of service in the report, click Selected and then select the departments from the list. |
| Primary Department | To include only OB episodes for specific primary departments, click Selected and then select specific values from the list. |
| Registration Department | To include only OB episodes for specific registration departments, click Selected and then select specific values from the list. |
| Patient's Usual Department | To include only OB episodes for specific departments (primary department in the patient registration record) in the report, click Selected and then select the departments from the list. |

| Minimum Gestation Age (weeks) | Select a minimum gestation age in weeks for OB episodes to include in this report. |
| Minimum Gestation Age (days) | Select a minimum gestation age in days for OB episodes to include in this report. |
| Maximum Gestation Age (weeks) | Select a maximum gestation age in weeks for OB episodes to include in this report. |
| Maximum Gestation Age (days) | Select a maximum gestation age in days for OB episodes to include in this report. |
| Pregnancy Problems | To include only OB episodes with specific pregnancy problems in the report, click Selected and then select the problems from the list. |
| Number of Fetuses | To include only OB episodes with a specific number of fetuses in the report, enter the number of fetuses. |
| Most Recent BMI (Min) | To include only OB episodes for women with a specific minimum BMI (most recent BMI), enter the BMI value. |
| Most Recent BMI (Max) | To include only OB episodes for women with a specific maximum BMI (most recent BMI), enter the BMI value. |
| Primary Insurance | To include only OB episodes with specific primary insurances, click Selected and then select specific values from the list. |
| Primary Insurance Reporting Category | To include only OB episodes with specific primary insurance reporting categories, click Selected and then select specific values from the list. |

| OB Episode ID |
A unique identifier value assigned to every OB Episode, similar to an appointment ID but specific to OB Episode. This associates the OB Episode to the clinical content. Click the link to display the OB Episode.

The department in which the patient was initially registered (This field is only visible in Full Registration.) |
| Living |
This is populated from the OB Worksheet > Baby Information > Outcome > Living
Note: The Living field is only visible in an OB Episode if you select 'Premature' or 'Full Term' in the Outcome field. |
| Primary Insurance |
The primary insurance coverage listed on the patient's Quickview
Example: BCBS-MA: BLUE CARE VALUE 65 (MEDICARE REPLACEMENT HMO) |
| Secondary Insurance | The secondary insurance coverage listed on the patient's Quickview |
| Primary Insurance Reporting Category |
The broader categorization of the primary insurance package coverage, used to aggregate individual packages into a larger category. Example: For the Primary Insurance package (see above), the IRC is BCBS-MA |
| Secondary Insurance Reporting Category | The broader categorization of the secondary insurance package coverage, used to aggregate individual packages into a larger category. |
| Last Appointment |
Date of the most recent appointment for the patient.

| Gestational Age |
For an open episode, this column displays the current gestational age based on last menstrual period date. If no last menstrual period date is specified, the gestational age is based on the initial exam date.
For a closed episode, this column displays the gestational age at delivery. If no delivery occurred, the gestational age at the episode closure is displayed. |
| Initial EDD | Initial estimated delivery date as shown in the EDD Calculation section of the patient's OB episode tab. |
| Initial EDD Confirmed Y/N | If the initial EDD is marked as confirmed on the patient's OB episode tab, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no). |
| Final EDD | Final EDD, as shown in the 18-20-Week EDD Update section of the patient's OB episode tab. |

This column lists the SNOMED descriptions of the pregnancy problems indicated in the patient's OB episode tab. Hidden and deleted items are excluded. |

Any notes accompanying the pregnancy problem list. |
| Delivery Date |
Delivery date indicated in the patient's OB episode tab. |
| Labor Type |
Type of labor for delivery: None, Spontaneous, Induced, or Augmented. |
| Preterm Labor Y/N |
If labor was preterm, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no). |
| Anesthesia | Indicates whether anesthesia was administered, as well as the type of anesthesia (if administered): General, Local, Regional-Epidural, Regional-Spinal, or None. |

Name of the provider who performed the delivery. |

Department of the delivery. |
| Incision Type |
Type of incision used for delivery: Low Transverse, Low Vertical, or Classical. |
