Run Report: OB Episode Report
Report Filters
Reporting Date Range	Enter the start and end dates for the report, or select a date range from the menu.
Reporting Date Type	Select an option from the menu: Last Appointment Date, Next Appointment Date, Delivery Date, or Estimated Delivery Date. The reporting date range applies to the option you select in this field; for example, you can select OB episodes with an estimated delivery date in the previous month. Note: If you select the Estimated Delivery Date option as the reporting date type, the OB Episode report includes patients only when the Final EDD field is filled in on the OB episode. OB episodes with an autocalculated Final EDD date that have not been saved do not appear in the report. The Final EDD date must be saved or manually entered for the patient to appear in the OB Episode report.
Include episodes with no EDD set	Select this option to include OB episodes with no estimated delivery date in the report.
Delivery Status	To include only OB episodes with specific delivery statuses in the report (for example, only closed episodes), click Selected and then select the statuses from the list.
Usual Provider	To include only OB episodes with specific usual providers in the report, click Selected and then select the providers from the list.
Episode Department	To include only OB episodes for specific departments of service in the report, click Selected and then select the departments from the list.
Primary Department	To include only OB episodes for specific primary departments, click Selected and then select specific values from the list.
Registration Department	To include only OB episodes for specific registration departments, click Selected and then select specific values from the list.
Patient's Usual Department	To include only OB episodes for specific departments (primary department in the patient registration record) in the report, click Selected and then select the departments from the list.
Display Patient Demographics	Select this option to include these patient demographics in the report: Name Age DOB Race Ethnicity Home phone Mobile phone Work phone Email Preferred contact method Address 1 Address 2 City State ZIP
Minimum Gestation Age (weeks)	Select a minimum gestation age in weeks for OB episodes to include in this report.
Minimum Gestation Age (days)	Select a minimum gestation age in days for OB episodes to include in this report.
Maximum Gestation Age (weeks)	Select a maximum gestation age in weeks for OB episodes to include in this report.
Maximum Gestation Age (days)	Select a maximum gestation age in days for OB episodes to include in this report.
Pregnancy Problems	To include only OB episodes with specific pregnancy problems in the report, click Selected and then select the problems from the list.
Number of Fetuses	To include only OB episodes with a specific number of fetuses in the report, enter the number of fetuses.
Most Recent BMI (Min)	To include only OB episodes for women with a specific minimum BMI (most recent BMI), enter the BMI value.
Most Recent BMI (Max)	To include only OB episodes for women with a specific maximum BMI (most recent BMI), enter the BMI value.
Primary Insurance	To include only OB episodes with specific primary insurances, click Selected and then select specific values from the list.
Primary Insurance Reporting Category	To include only OB episodes with specific primary insurance reporting categories, click Selected and then select specific values from the list.
Secondary Insurance	To include only OB episodes with specific secondary insurances, click Selected and then select specific values from the list.
Secondary Insurance Reporting Category	To include only OB episodes with specific secondary insurance reporting categories, click Selected and then select specific values from the list.
Report Format and Options
Report Format	Select the format for your report results. HTML table — Display the report results on your screen. Text (tab-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in tab-delimited format. Text (comma-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in comma-delimited format.
Report Options	Select other options for your report results. Suppress Column Headings — Select this option to remove column headings from the report results. Suppress Report Name — Select this option to remove the report name from the report results. Show Filter Criteria — Select this option to include your selected filter criteria in the report results. Run Offline (will appear in your Report Inbox tomorrow morning) — Select this option for very long reports. Reports that are run offline appear in your Report Inbox the morning after the request.
Column Headings
OB Episode ID	A unique identifier value assigned to every OB Episode, similar to an appointment ID but specific to OB Episode. This associates the OB Episode to the clinical content. Click the link to display the OB Episode. Note: If you run the report in a department that is in a different provider group than where the OB Episode is stored, when you click the OB Episode ID link, a message appears to warn you that you are in the wrong provider group. This ID doesn’t appear in athenaOne but is required for API calls that reference OB Episodes.
Patient ID	Patient ID of the OB patient. Click the link to display the patient Quickview.
Patient Enterprise ID	For practices with multiple provider groups, the shared patient identifier within one tablespace. Click the link to display the patient's Quickview.
Name	Patient's full name. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Age	Patient's current age. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
DOB	Patient's date of birth. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Race	Patient's race. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Ethnicity	Patient's ethnicity. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Home Phone	Patient's home phone number. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Mobile Phone	Patient's mobile phone number. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Work Phone	Patient's work phone number. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Email	Patient's email address. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Preferred Contact Method	Patient's preferred contact method. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Address1	First line of the patient's address. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Address2	Second line of the patient's address. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
City	City of the patient's address. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
State	State of the patient's address. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Zip	ZIP code of the patient's address. This column appears only if you select the Display Patient Demographics option on the Run Report: OB Episode Report page.
Usual Provider	Usual provider as indicated on the patient chart.
Episode Department	Episode department indicated on the patient chart for the OB episode.
Primary Department	The patient's current active department, typically the department in which the patient chart is kept. The primary department may differ from the department of registration if the patient was transferred from one department to another. (This field is visible in Quickview and Full Registration.)
Registration Department	The department in which the patient was initially registered (This field is only visible in Full Registration.)
Living	This is populated from the OB Worksheet > Baby Information > Outcome > Living Note: The Living field is only visible in an OB Episode if you select 'Premature' or 'Full Term' in the Outcome field.
Primary Insurance	The primary insurance coverage listed on the patient's Quickview Example: BCBS-MA: BLUE CARE VALUE 65 (MEDICARE REPLACEMENT HMO)
Secondary Insurance	The secondary insurance coverage listed on the patient's Quickview
Primary Insurance Reporting Category	The broader categorization of the primary insurance package coverage, used to aggregate individual packages into a larger category. Example: For the Primary Insurance package (see above), the IRC is BCBS-MA
Secondary Insurance Reporting Category	The broader categorization of the secondary insurance package coverage, used to aggregate individual packages into a larger category.
Last Appointment	Date of the most recent appointment for the patient.
Last Appointment Provider	Name of the provider at the last appointment for the patient.
Next Appointment	Date of the next appointment for the patient.
Next Appointment Provider	Name of the provider for the next appointment for the patient.
Gestational Age	For an open episode, this column displays the current gestational age based on last menstrual period date. If no last menstrual period date is specified, the gestational age is based on the initial exam date. For a closed episode, this column displays the gestational age at delivery. If no delivery occurred, the gestational age at the episode closure is displayed.
Initial EDD	Initial estimated delivery date as shown in the EDD Calculation section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Initial EDD Confirmed Y/N	If the initial EDD is marked as confirmed on the patient's OB episode tab, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Final EDD	Final EDD, as shown in the 18-20-Week EDD Update section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Final EDD Confirmed Y/N	If the final EDD is marked as confirmed on the patient's OB episode tab, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Most Recent BMI	Patient's most recent BMI reading before the close of the OB episode.
Number of Fetuses	Number of fetuses, as indicated in the OB Episode Information section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Blood Type	Patient's blood type, as indicated in the OB Episode Information section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Rh Status	Patient's Rhesus factor presence (Positive or Negative), as indicated in the OB Episode Information section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Pre-Pregnancy Weight	Patient's prepregnancy weight, in pounds, as indicated in the OB Episode Information section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Father	Father's full name and phone number, if available.
Husband	Husband's full name and phone number, if available.
Pediatrician	Pediatrician's name.
Last Menstrual Period	Date (estimated or definite) of last menstrual period.
LMP Definite Y/N	If the mother is certain of the last menstrual period date, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Initial Exam Date	Date of the initial exam for the OB episode.
Initial Exam Date Gestation	Number of weeks and days of gestation at the time of the initial exam.
Initial Exam Performed By	Name of the person who performed the initial exam, as indicated in the OB Episode Information section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Group B Strep by 36 wks	If results for a Group B strep lab were received by 36 weeks, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Blood Type by 36 wks	If results for a blood type lab were received by 36 weeks, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Antibody Screen by 36 wks	If results for an antibody screening were received by 36 weeks, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Latest TDAP Vaccine	Date of the patient's latest TDAP inoculation.
Diabetes Screen by 24‑28 wks	If results for a diabetes screening were received between 24 and 28 weeks, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Influenza vaccine 12 Months	If the patient received an influenza vaccine within 12 months prior to the initial exam date (minus the gestation age on the date of the initial exam), this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Pregnancy Problem List	This column lists the SNOMED descriptions of the pregnancy problems indicated in the patient's OB episode tab. Hidden and deleted items are excluded.
Pregnancy Problem Notes	Any notes accompanying the pregnancy problem list.
Delivery Date	Delivery date indicated in the patient's OB episode tab.
Labor Type	Type of labor for delivery: None, Spontaneous, Induced, or Augmented.
Preterm Labor Y/N	If labor was preterm, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Anesthesia	Indicates whether anesthesia was administered, as well as the type of anesthesia (if administered): General, Local, Regional-Epidural, Regional-Spinal, or None.
Delivery By	Name of the provider who performed the delivery.
Delivery Site	Department of the delivery.
Incision Type	Type of incision used for delivery: Low Transverse, Low Vertical, or Classical.
Tube Sterilization Y/N	If tubal sterilization was performed, as indicated in the Delivery Information section of the patient's OB episode tab, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Discharge Date	Discharge date listed in the patient's OB episode tab.
Gestation Age at Delivery	Gestation age in weeks and days on the delivery date.
Length of Labor	Length of labor in hours, as indicated in the Delivery Information section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Postpartum Complications	Postpartum complications, as indicated in the Delivery Information section of the patient's OB episode tab: None, Hemorrhage, Infection, Hypertension, Mastitis, or Other.
Child Sex	Sex of the child: M or F.
Birth Weight	Birth weight of the child, in pounds and ounces.
Outcome	Outcome of the delivery: Full Term Birth; Premature Birth; Abortion, Induced; Abortion, Spontaneous; Ectopic; or Fetal Demise.
Child Name	Name of the newborn child. If more than one child was born for this episode, the name of each child appears in the table row.
Child Race	Child's race, as indicated in the Delivery Information section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Child Ethnicity	Child's ethnicity, as indicated in the Delivery Information section of the patient's OB episode tab.
Admitted to NICU Y/N	If the child was admitted to a neonatal intensive care unit, as indicated in the Delivery Information section of the patient's OB episode tab, this column displays Y (yes); otherwise, this column displays N (no).
Delivery Type	Delivery type for the child: Vaginal; Cesarean; VBAC; Vaginal, Forceps asst; or Vaginal, Vacuum asst.
Feeding Method	Feeding method indicated in the Discharge Information section of the patient's OB episode tab: Breast, Bottle, or Combination.
Episode Closed Date	Date that the OB episode was closed.
Close Reason	Reason provided for closing the OB episode, as indicated in the Discharge Information section of the patient's OB episode tab: Pregnancy Completed, Patient Transferred, Patient Moved, Miscarriage, Opened in Error, or Merged into New Patient.
