Claims Missing Required Attachments Report

The Claims Missing Required Attachments report displays a list of claims where claim rule BR-014799 was triggered. Claim rule BR-014799 is activated when a claim requires an attachment, and the Attachments field on the Claim Action or Claim Edit page is empty.

Note: If a rule has been migrated to the new Billing Rules system (or is a new rule added only in the new Billing Rules system), you'll see a Business Requirement ID (BR-######) instead of a legacy Rule ID.

  • Use the BR-ID Search for a crossmap between legacy Rule IDs and BR IDs.

  • Global Rule 2804 is now BR-014799

 

 

Display the Report Library: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Library. Click the Other tab. In the Standard Reports section of the tab, click run next to Claims Missing Required Attachments.

 

 

 

To access this report, you must have one of the following roles or permissions:

  • Practice Superuser role
  • Report Reader role
  • Report: Report Library: Other permission

Note: To activate the Claims Missing Required Attachments report, use the Activate Reports page.

 

 

  1. Display the Report Library page: On the Main Menu, click Reports. Under General, click Report Library.
  2. Click the Other tab.
  3. Under Standard Reports, locate the Claims Missing Required Attachments report.
  4. Click run.
  5. Date Range — Enter or select the date range for the report.
    The dates selected are the dates of claim creation.
  6. Report Format — Select the format for your report results.
    • HTML table — Display the report results on your screen.
    • Text (tab-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in tab-delimited format.
    • Text (comma-delimited) — Export the report results to a .csv file in comma-delimited format.
  7. Report Options — Select or deselect report options.
    • Suppress Column Headings — Select this option to remove column headings from the report results.
    • Suppress Report Name — Select this option to remove the report name from the report results.
    • Show Filter Criteria — Select this option to include your selected filter criteria in the report results.
    • Run Offline (will appear in your Report Inbox tomorrow morning) — Select this option for very long reports. Reports that are run offline appear in your Report Inbox the morning after the request.
  8. Click Run Report.

 

Run Report: Claims Missing Required Attachments
Date Range Enter the date range to report on. The dates selected are the dates of claim creation.
Report Format Select a report format: HTML table, tab-delimited text file, or comma-delimited text file.
Report Options Select or deselect report options.
Report Name: Claims Missing Required Attachments
Column Headings
CLAIMID

Linked claim ID number. Click the claim ID to display the Claim Edit page.
CLAIMNOTEID ID number of the claim note created when rule BR-014799 was activated.
PENDING_YN

Indicates whether the claim note for rule BR-014799 is pending (Y) or worked (N).
CREATED

Date that the claim note for rule BR-014799 was created.
ACTION

Action taken to address rule BR-014799.
REASON

Reason that rule BR-014799 fired: another claim rule fired, a denial was returned, or another issue.

  • If another claim rule caused rule BR-014799 to fire, "Claim Rule #" is displayed in this column.
  • If the claim was denied because of missing documentation, the associated kick code is displayed in this column.
  • If neither a claim rule nor a denial caused rule BR-014799 to fire, "Other" is displayed in this column.
CREATEDBY

Username or claim rule that created the rule BR-014799 claim note.
NOTE

Any message included in the rule BR-014799 claim note.
CLAIMATTACHMENTID

ID number of the claim attachment that was added to the claim per rule BR-014799.
ATTACHMENTCREATEDBY

Username or claim rule that added the attachment to the claim.
